Course Overview

Many engineering organisations participate in outreach and engagement activities with schools, colleges, and universities. However, employees are often asked to support these initiatives without training or guidance on how to communicate effectively with young people or non-technical audiences. This course prepares staff to deliver engaging, inclusive, and impactful STEM outreach activities. Participants will learn how to explain engineering concepts clearly, communicate with confidence, and inspire diverse audiences. The course also supports organisations in building a repeatable and inclusive outreach approach that strengthens social value commitments, early careers pipelines, and staff development.
