Inclusive Recruitment

Half-day – 3hrs (1 x break)

Either on-site or virtual

Course Overview

Recruitment processes play a critical role in shaping the diversity, capability, and long-term success of engineering teams. However, traditional hiring practices can unintentionally exclude talented candidates or reinforce existing biases within organisations. This course explores how engineering organisations can design fair, inclusive, and effective recruitment processes that attract a wider range of talent. Participants will examine how bias can influence hiring decisions, identify barriers that may discourage diverse candidates from applying, and learn practical strategies for creating inclusive job descriptions, structured interviews, and equitable selection processes. The course supports organisations in building recruitment practices that strengthen both diversity and team performance.
