How to Lead a Successful Employee Network

Code: EE-WCPS-05

Half-day – 3hrs (1 x break)

Either on-site or virtual

Course Overview

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and staff networks play an important role in building inclusive engineering workplaces. When run effectively, they create community, support underrepresented groups, inform organisational strategy, and contribute to safer and more inclusive workplace cultures. However, many networks struggle due to unclear purpose, limited leadership support, or volunteer burnout. This practical course equips network leads, sponsors, and inclusion champions with the tools needed to build high-impact employee networks. Participants will explore how to define a network’s purpose, engage members, collaborate with organisational leadership, and deliver initiatives that contribute to both workplace culture and business outcomes.
